Monmouth

At The Table, beans means Monmouth. Monmouth sources and roasts coffee from single farms, estates and cooperatives around the coffee-growing world, selecting beans that reflect the flavour profile that each producing country is known for, as well as those that challenge expectations. Committed to establishing a relationship with each grower and exporter, the company is dedicated to supporting sustainable, fair and equal trade.

Secretts Farm

It’s thanks to Secretts that The Table is able to serve up the many old-fashioned and heritage varieties of fruit and veg that are often overlooked by bigger, more commercial growers. Set in the heart of the Surrey countryside, Hurst Farm is owned by the Secretts family, whose name has been synonymous with excellence in horticulture since 1908. Today, Secretts has an enviable reputation for producing high-quality British seasonal fruit and veg ranging from brassica to seven different varieties of strawberry.

London Bio Packaging Ltd

Through our use of bio-packaging at The Table, we aim to both reduce our environmental impact and show our commitment to the environment. Our supplier, London Bio Packaging Ltd, specialises in providing environmental packaging for food-related businesses. Their bio-plastics are 100% biodegradable, have a low carbon footprint and are made from annually renewable plants.

Chegworth Valley Juices

In 1983, Chegworth Valley Juices established a fruit farm deep in the Kent countryside, initially selling their fruit to supermarkets and major wholesalers, who put them under continual price pressure and were only concerned with the shape and size of the fruit. Thanks to a passionate desire to produce fruit with the best possible taste and smell (and fruit not full of harmful chemicals), a decision was made only to deal directly with customers who shared this love of ‘real’ food and drink. All of the apples and pears on the Chegworth Valley farm are now completely organic and certified by the Soil Association.

Belu Water

A bottled water company recommending tap water as the most environmentally sound choice for quenching your thirst? We were surprised, too. But for those times when a bottle of water is going to be chosen anyway, Belu has created the most eco-friendly bottled water on the market. The company does not import or export its water, and is converting to clean energy and offsetting all remaining CO2 emissions to become the world’s first Carbon Neutral bottled water. Belu has also introduced the UK’s first compostable bottle. Made from corn, these bottles can first be recycled and then at the end of their life, composted back to soil in only 8 weeks (a zillion times faster than petrol-chemical plastic bottles). Last but not least, Belu donates 100% of its profits to fund clean water projects in the UK and around the world. We hope that you’ll find these policies as refreshing as we at The Table do.

Carroll's Heritage Potatoes

At Tiptoe Farm in the beautiful River Till Valley in Northumberland, Carroll’s grows over 17 varieties of Heritage Potatoes, each one specially chosen to provide excellent flavour, texture, colour, shape – and a taste of history. The Carroll ethos is one of growing with the countryside and to this end the company practises Linking the Environment and Farming (LEAF). In September 2006, Tiptoe Farm was awarded the accolade of the Most Beautiful Farm In Britain Award. But, when you’ve tasted the potatoes we cook at The Table, we’ll sure you’ll agree that Tiptoe Farm is much more than just a pretty face.
