Our Food

Here at The Table we take our food very seriously – and have a lot of fun in the process. We try to source as much as possible of our produce locally – specifically from Essex, Surrey and Mersea – in order to reduce our carbon footprint. Wherever possible we use organic and seasonal products. We are proud to be GM-free and almost everything we serve is produced in-house daily.

Our fruit and vegetables are delivered direct from Secretts Farm in Surrey (2006 winner of the Best Producer category in the Observer Food Monthly). Fish is direct from the boat; bought fresh from Billingsgate market. Finally, our meat, organic or free range, is sourced from our butcher in North Wales, Mark Jones. (Admittedly, we sometimes have to go that extra mile for truly exceptional food.)

Our organic bread is supplied by the award-winning bakeries Seven Seeded Bakery and Rhodes and our baking is done only with the best quality free range eggs, milk, butter and organic flour.

In addition, our packaging is made from top-notch recycled and biodegradable materials; we don’t wrap our food in plastic.
